Android and Garmin app

CacheCap. One cache. One direction.

Send a destination from c:geo and see direction and distance on your wrist, using a compatible Garmin watch.

Version 1.0.0 is in preparation. Google Play and Connect IQ links will be added at release.

From phone to watch in three steps

  1. Choose a cache

In c:geo, open Navigate → Other external apps → CacheCap.

  2. Check the destination

Check the name and coordinates. Choose your Garmin on first use; CacheCap remembers your choice.

  3. Follow the direction

Tap “Send to Garmin”. Open CacheCap on your watch, accept the prompt if shown, and wait for a GPS fix outdoors.

What you need

  • A phone running Android 9 or later.
  • A compatible version of Garmin Connect, with your watch paired to the phone.
  • A Garmin watch listed as compatible, with CacheCap installed.

See the compatibility list. Untested models are not advertised as compatible.

One destination at a time

Find your saved watch, adjust coordinates and resend the last cache. The interface is available in English and French.

Use c:geo external navigation: sharing a web link alone is not enough. CacheCap does not provide maps, cache lists or geocaching logs.

Data used for navigation

CacheCap does not request your phone location. The last sent cache and selected watch are stored locally; Garmin Connect handles transmission to the watch. The CacheCap app has no advertising or usage analytics and requires no account of its own.
